Benefits of Home-Based Therapy

Social Intelligence Coaching

High-Functioning

Designed for children who already have good verbal skills, this will develop social skills to build positive interactions – to understand social cues, proper behavior and response without awkwardness, enabling them to behave more comfortably in everyday social settings.

Who Benefits?

Skills Taught

Independent Living Skills

Ages 9+

As our children grow, we want them to live more independently – to learn to dress, maybe make a sandwich, eventually read road signs, go to the grocery. This is designed for older children (9 years and above) to live and function more independently.

Self-Help Skills

Dressing, grooming, personal hygiene

Home Tasks

Cooking, cleaning, organizing

Pre-Vocational

Job readiness and work skills

Lessons will be designed to create situations in which the children can practice skills when certain social cues are present, preparing them for greater independence in their daily lives.

Classroom Shadowing and Consultation

School Support

Visit, shadowing and consultation on the child in the neighborhood school. ABC’s shadow teacher assists the child in navigating the school environment, understanding teacher instructions and dealing with peers socially. Consultation may be limited to one or two areas of focus (such as PECS or the reduction of behavior excesses), or may encompass the design and monitoring of an intensive behavior program.

Focused Support

Targeted intervention for specific challenges like communication or behavior management

Comprehensive Program

Full behavioral program design and ongoing monitoring in the school setting

Parent/Caregiver Training

We believe parents and caregivers are integral to maximize the success of the ABA program. Hence, we provide training seminars to enable consistency of approach both in the center and at home.

Understand ABA Principles

Learn the theoretical underpinnings of ABA

What is the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children – P (EIPIC-P)?

EIPIC-P is a programme administered by the Singapore government’s Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) that enables Singaporean or Permanent Resident children who meet criteria to avail of financial subsidies for early intervention.

The children must be between 2 – 6 years old, and recommended by a professional (e.g. recognized paediatrician) for early intervention. The financial subsidy for Singaporean children is dependent on means-tested household income.

ABC Center is honored to have been appointed as an EIPIC-P provider since the programme’s inception in 2018 (previously known as PPIP programme). If you have questions on how to avail of the programme, please contact us and we can guide you through the process.
